Rally in the Valley Tournament 1998

The first year for Rally in the Valley was 1998. Forty one juniors participated in the tournament. The 1998 tournament was a sanctioned tournament, which meant players had to be USTA members and its publicity was provided by USTA. Players from throughout Virginia and nearby West Virginia came. Local winners included Kay Hill in the Girls 18 Singles, Lee Roadcap & Beth Chenoweth in the Girls 14 Doubles, and Nathan Maust in the Boys 18 Singles. Nathan also teamed with Matt Chenault to win the Boys 18 Doubles.
