Century Tournament
The Century Tournament is a fun doubles tournament sponsored by SWAT in which the sum of the ages of the partners must be at least 100. Play is held in mens, womens, and mixed doubles. The 2010 Century Tournament is scheduled for May 21-22.
Each team is guaranteed two matches – event or first match consolation.
The 2009 Century Tournament was sponsored by SWAT and AMC this year. It was held on June 10th-14th on the outside clay courts at AMC in Fishersville, VA. Freddie Roberts was the Tournament Director.
The 2009 Century Tournament winners were as follows:
Men's Doubles:
Consolation Match: Leech -Stella d. McNaughton 6-0, 6-4
Championship: Dawkins-Colvin d. Collins-Sherman 6-3, 3-6, 10-8
Womens Doubles: Round Robin winners Opie -Hock
Mixed Doubles:
Consolation: Sowers-Stella d. Armentrout-Spotts 6-1, 6-0
Championship: Rhodus-Jackson d. Leech-Hock 6-4, 6-3
